Socialite exposes former minister

Sweden based Zimbabwe’s first transgender woman, Tatenda Karigambe, popularly known as Tatelicious, has exposed former Tourism and Hospitality Minister Walter Mzembi as a gay who had an illicit affair with socialite Thomas Chizhanje.

Speaking on her Facebook Live recently, Tatelicious said Mzembi and Chizhanje had an affair that caused the later to divorce his wife as he was now sexually connected to Mzembi.

Tatelicious further exposed that Chizhanje’s sexual affair with Mzembi made him to contract a sexually transmitted disease.

“Walter Mzembi, the former Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, had an affair with Chizhanje. They used to have sexual intercourse regularly and Chizhanje ended up divorcing his wife in favour of Mzembi. Chizhanje suffered for some time with an STI he contracted from his sexual affair with Mzembi. Both Mzembi and Chizhanje cannot deny this because Chizhanje’s ex-wife Shingi is a witness who can also expose them,” fumed Tatelicious.

Tatelicious also exposed the American Embassy and Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) for paying people money to promote the rights of lesbians and gays in Zimbabwe

“Let me tell you where my grudge with Thomas Chizhanje emanates from. Chizhanje was given US$3 500 by the American Embassy and OSISA to give me for advocating for gay rights in Zimbabwe. Chizhanje didn’t give me the money but he converted it to his own use. I want that money from Chizhanje,” said Tatelicious.

Social commentator, Edwin Mahoko said Mzembi, a member of the disgraced G40 faction and founder of People’s Party, a collapsed opposition party which he later abandoned, was considered by many as a morally upright man. However, Tatelicious has exposed that he is just a wolf in sheep’s skin.

“For years we thought that Mzembi was a morally upright man who could be a role model to our kids. However, this expose by Tatelicious has shown us that Mzembi is just a wolf in sheep’s skin. Only God knows how many have been sexually abused by people like Mzembi.

“So the assertion that people like Saviour Kasukuwere and Jonathan Moyo are gay might be true. If Mzembi is not gay he must come in the open and defend himself, but with the way Tatelicious spoke, she might have been speaking the truth,” said Mahoko.

Zimbabwe which is a Christian country has not been receptive to gays and lesbians with the late President Robert Mugabe describing them as “worse than dogs and pigs.” The African customs do not allow people of same sex to have a sexual relationship.
