ZimTrade is facilitating Zimbabwean horticultural farmers to exhibit their produce at the ongoing Fruit Logistica at the Messe Berlin exhibition grounds in Germany.

The Fruit Logistica exhibition is a three day event being held from, 5 to 7 February 2020. The exhibition is an opportunity for Zimbabwean farmers to secure export markets for their produce.

Since yesterday, participating farms exhibiting at the Zimbabwean pavilion have been engaging potential buyers who are showing interest in the produce from Zimbabwe. Some of the products on display are pineapples, potatoes, avocados, mangoes and baby corn.

ZimTrade is on a drive to continue supporting the country’s horticultural farmers through creating an international market for local farmers to export fresh produce abroad.

The Zimbabwean horticulture production industry remains a story intertwined with dedication and hard work on the part of local farmers. Thousands of large and small-holder farmers in Zimbabwe, including women agro-entrepreneurs have potential to farm the best quality horticulture produce.

ZimTrade is the national trade development and promotion organisation of Zimbabwe. The trade organisation focuses on promoting local produce business players to market their businesses at promotional events that meet target market requirements around the world.
