The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement has warned members of the public on fraudsters that are demanding payment for services such as land allocation, processing of 99-Year Leases or any other service which unsuspecting citizens will be requiring from the ministry.
In his press statement today, Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement Honourable Retired Air Chief Marshal Perrence Shiri advised the public that the allocation of land and issuance of 99-Year Leases is done free of charge.
“The public is hereby advised and reminded that allocation of land and issuance of 99-Year Leases is done free of charge. At no time should one be asked to pay anything either as facilitation or administration fee,” said Minister Shiri. Minister Shiri encouraged the public to report such cases to the police. “Any demands of that nature should therefore be disregarded. Such cases should be reported to the Police with a view to bring the culprits to book,” he said.
