Aures Solaire an Algerian solar products manufacturing company is eyeing Zimbabwe solar market with a vision to invest in the manufacturing of solar products, the Harare Post can report.

“The Algerian based solar panel manufacturer has developed an interest to invest in the solar energy industry in Zimbabwe after it saw that the market for solar products is lucrative,” said a source.

On condition of anonymity a source from the Ministry of Energy and Power Development said Zimbabwe is currently facing shortages in electricity supply which has created a huge demand for electricity. To close this electricity supply gap Aures Solaire is targeting to provide solar energy to schools, hospitals, industries, farms, mines and communities.

Aures Solaire’s reputation on manufacturing solar products is well known in Algeria where installation at schools, companies and hospitals is above board. The company’s solar panels are durable and have a life span of 30 years.

Investment in Zimbabwe by the Algerian company would open up the market for Zimbabwe local businesses who have been presented with an opportunity to partner the Algerian company to set up solar manufacturing plants in the country.

Interested stakeholders should enquire at the Ministry of Energy and Power Development the Harare Post has learnt.
