Zimbabwe will soon be hosting the 2019, World Tourism Symposium. The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Environment Tourism and Hospitality Industry in partnership with the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).
On its Facebook page, the Ministry of Environment Tourism and Hospitality Industry said it had partnered UZ to organize and coordinate the 2019, World Tourism Symposium aimed at discussing trends affecting the industry.
“The Ministry of Environment Tourism and Hospitality Industry has partnered the University of Zimbabwe in organising and coordinating the 2019 World Tourism Symposium. Tourism experts from different Institutions of higher learning and industry practitioners in Zimbabwe will present papers, and discuss issues and trends affecting the industry,” said the Ministry of Environment.
The Ministry also said, the tourism expects from various institutions of higher learning and industry practitioners in Zimbabwe are expected to provide models and recommendations to promote growth and development in the tourism sector.
“Tourism experts from different institutions of higher learning and industry practitioners in Zimbabwe will provide models and recommendations on issues affecting the growth and development of tourism in Zimbabwe,” said the Ministry of Environment Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
Zimbabwe is in the process of turning around its tourism sector through engaging the international community. Currently Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) will be hosting the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo from 12 to 14 September 2019, in Bulawayo dubbed “Africa’s Premier Business Exchange.”
