Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZTF) has roared to life today with 16 Foreign Nations exhibiting, the Harare Post can report.
Of the 16 nations that have successfully exhibited during the business exhibition that kicked off yesterday, Harare Post interviewed exhibitors from Dubai, Belarus, Ethiopia and South Africa.
At the United Arab Emirates stand, Gulf Petroleum Group Assistant Manager, Umair Ahmad Siddiqui said his company was exhibiting for the first time in Zimbabwe where it was looking for a distributor of its products and that they were currently distributing to more than 65 countries.
“Gulf Petroleum is exhibiting for the first time in Zimbabwe and we are looking for a local distributor for our products. Our lubricant plant is located in National Industries Park-Dubai. We manufacture and distribute lubricants in more than 65 countries around the world, selling and marketing 500 products,” said the Gulf Petroleum Group Assistant Manager.
Belarus company, Belaz Sales Representative, Sergei Shagiev said their company was exhibiting mining dump trucks from Belarus with a capacity ranging from 30 to 450 tonnes.
“Our mining dump trucks are equipped with hydro mechanical transmission and electric drive of payload capacity from 30 to 450 tonnes. We provide road-building equipment and equipment for mining service: loaders, bulldozers, recovery tractors, water sprinkling vehicles, underground dump trucks, load-haul-dump units and underground truck mixers,” said Shagiev.
South African based company, Ilangabi Infrastructure Solutions for Africa representative, Dr Cedric Xulu said they had put aside US$6 billion for infrastructure development in Zimbabwe.
“Our company has earmarked US$6 billion for infrastructure development in Zimbabwe. We are looking forward to working with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development to implement some of the projects under Government Transitional Stabilization Programme (TSP),” said Dr Xulu.
Ethiopian businesses showcasing under their embassy banner put various export products on display including coffee produced from Ethiopia’s different regions and leather products.
The ZITF business exhibition which is open to various businesses shall run from 23-25 April 2019.
