The first 50 ultra-modern villas, part of the ambitious Zim Cyber City project in Mt Hampden, are set to be completed by March 2025. Construction on this multi-million-dollar development is progressing rapidly, with visible advancements in road networks and villa construction.

Spearheaded by Special Presidential Investment Advisor Dr. Paul Tungwarara, it was highlighted that the Zim Cyber City is a technological marvel inspired by Dubai’s iconic architecture.

Dr. Tungwarara’s vision, encapsulated in the motto “Bringing Dubai Life to Zimbabwe,” aims to redefine urban living in the country.

“The first 50 units will be completed within the next three to four months as part of the project’s first phase. These villas are entirely inspired by Dubai’s lifestyle, with construction materials sourced directly from Dubai. This initiative aligns with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 goal of achieving upper middle-income status by delivering world-class infrastructure,” he said.

Beyond its luxurious appeal, the project has a significant socio-economic impact. It has already created employment opportunities for local communities and is aligned with the government’s broader vision of smart city development.

According to Dr. Tungwarara, the Zim Cyber City has been granted a unique urban status, separate from Harare, underscoring its exclusivity.

“There is no longer a need for Zimbabweans to travel to Dubai to experience its wonders. The Zim Cyber City will bring similar attractions, blending leisure, technology, and modern infrastructure,” Dr. Tungwarara added.

Situated on 50 000 square meters near the new Parliament building in Mt Hampden, the Cyber City project represents a cornerstone of Zimbabwe’s infrastructure transformation under the Second Republic.

Once completed, it will feature shopping malls, luxury villas, and a 40-story commercial tower.

This development exemplifies Zimbabwe’s commitment to innovation and urban modernisation, reflecting the nation’s strides toward achieving Vision 2030.

With Dubai’s influence integrated into its design, Zim Cyber City is poised to become a symbol of the country’s aspirations and a destination of choice for tourists and investors alike.
