Murambinda A. pry school head praises President Mnangagwa

The headmaster of Murambinda A Primary School, Collen Mumbizo, has commended President Emmerson Mnangagwa for his role in transforming the institution from its previously dilapidated state into a model school.
Speaking to this on the side-lines of the Children’s Party hosted by President Mnangagwa and the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa yesterday, Mumbizo expressed profound gratitude towards the President's initiatives that have significantly upgraded the school’s infrastructure and resources.
“Under the guiding principle of your mantra, Mr. President, our school has witnessed unparalleled growth and development," Mumbizo stated.
The school's transformation was highlighted during the celebrations of Zimbabwe's 44th independence anniversary.
Notable improvements included the construction of a state-of-the-art stadium, three new classroom blocks, and the addition of modern ablution facilities, complete electrification, comprehensive fencing, and the enhancement of local roadways.
The agricultural capabilities of the school were also expanded with the installation of drip irrigation systems and two new boreholes.
In an impressive move to advance technological education, President Mnangagwa donated 20 computers along with other ICT equipment to the school.
This initiative was supported by local telecom companies Netone, Liquid Intelligent Technology, and Econet, which installed essential network connectivity to facilitate e-learning.
Mumbizo also advocated for further advancements based on these successes.
“Given the substantial improvements, it is crucial that Murambinda A Primary School not only serves our community but becomes a beacon of excellence nationwide as a government boarding school," he suggested.
Murambinda A primary school, established in 1919 with only 67 pupils and three teachers, has grown significantly over the decades.
Currently, it boasts an enrolment of 1,722 students and a teaching staff of 48. Looking to the future, the school anticipates the addition of Early Childhood Development (ECD) classroom blocks, more furniture, and acquiring a bus to support educational tours and daily operations.
