The ruling ZANU PF party has today conveyed its optimism about securing victory in the upcoming by-elections for the Pelandaba-Tshabalala constituency.

Addressing a massive crowd at the Nkulumane Library Grounds in Bulawayo, acting President Cde Kembo Mohadi emphasised ZANU PF's unwavering commitment to bringing tangible developments to the constituency.

Speaking to an enthusiastic gathering of ZANU PF supporters, Cde Mohadi urged Party members to rally behind Cde Joseph Tshuma in the forthcoming elections on February 3.

Cde Mohadi called on the registered voters in the constituency to actively participate in the democratic process, aiming for at least 50 percent plus one of the registered votes.

"ZANU PF aims to secure at least 50 percent plus one of the registered votes. I urge every Party member to act as a commissar and mobilise support for Cde Tshuma,"  Cde Mohadi declared.

Highlighting the historical significance of ZANU PF's role in the nation's liberation and freedom, acting President Mohadi assured the people that the party has achieved food security and has no intention of taking away land from the citizens.

He called on the electorate to trust ZANU PF, emphasising the Party's robust development plans with the objective of leaving the country in a better state than before.

Cde Mohadi stated, "Voting for Cde Tshuma would unlock doors of development and opportunities for Pelandaba-Tshabalala. His role in the ZANU PF Central Committee would grant access to the President and Ministers, setting him apart from opposition legislators prioritising personal gains."

Criticising the opposition, particularly the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), Cde Mohadi asserted that they had brought suffering to urban areas, citing a lack of meaningful developments.

He attributed issues like potholes, water shortages, and other challenges to the CCC, contrasting these with ZANU PF's commitment to addressing and resolving such problems.

Furthermore, acting President Mohadi assured the residents of Iminyela that they would receive title deeds, similar to the successful process in Epworth. While acknowledging that the issuance of title deeds is a gradual process, he urged residents to be patient and assured them of the Government's commitment.

Addressing water challenges in Bulawayo, Cde Mohadi highlighted the Gwai Shangani dam's completion as a solution to the problem. He also assured the continuation of borehole drilling in various locations to further alleviate water concerns.

The rally, a testament to the Party's unity and strength, was attended by ZANU PF heavyweights in Bulawayo, including Tshinga Dube (ZANU PF Politburo member), Judith Ncube (Bulawayo Minister of State and Devolution Affairs), Raji Modi (Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce), and Victor Mpofu (ZANU PF Bulawayo Provincial vice chairperson).

As the election date approaches, ZANU PF remains confident in its ability to secure victory and pave the way for continued development in Pelandaba-Tshabalala.

The Party's rallying cry echoes through the constituency, resonating with citizens who seek progress and prosperity.
