One Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) member has revealed that it was highly unlikely that CCC will win the elections in the imminent 23 August 2023 Harmonised General Elections due to that party`s poor planning and disorganization.
Speaking to this publication today, the same CCC member highlighted that CCC’s failure to account for resources given to them by well-wishers, such as the whereabouts of regalia donated to that party by one organization from South Africa known as Citizens Business Network Forum (CBNF) has shown how that disorganized party will not win the elections.
“This is so pathetic. My party has failed to prepare for this election. It all started with the undemocratic candidate selection process, which lacked transparency. The challenge with the lack of transparency is that when it all breaks down no-one is willing to take responsibility, especially now there is a lack of accountability for donated funds and resources.
“Recently, a South African company (CBNF) donated regalia to the party and as it stands we have not received that regalia. It cannot be accounted for because we do not even know the person who received the regalia. The disorganization by my leadership is so frustrating especially now when we are on the eve of an election and in desperate need of every campaign resource,” said the CCC member.
Meanwhile, ZANU PF spokesperson, Chris Mutsvangwa pointed out that the CCC has made themselves redundant due to their disorganization. He further stated that the CCC failed to select its candidates in a democratic way, thereby disempowering itself as a party.
