The newly elected ZANU PF Mashonaland Central Provincial chairperson, Cde Kazembe Kazembe, has called upon all party structures in that province to sweep aside all differences and unite for the sake of the revolutionary Party.
Addressing the newly elected Mashonaland Central Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) members at Bindura Country Club over the weekend, Kazembe said the focus was now on attaining the five million votes for the Party in the next plebiscite and added that such a feat could only be achieved when people were united.
“The Provincial elections are now behind us comrades. I urge all of us to unite and wholeheartedly work for the Party so that we successfully mobilise for the five million votes in 2023 elections. Such a feat can only be achieved if we are united and moving in the same direction. We are a province with a history of doing well during elections and this time we must aim for more votes for President Mnangagwa and the Party as a whole,” said Cde Kazembe.
Kazembe reiterated that during the just ended provincial elections, there was no winner or loser as previously said by President Mnangagwa and added that the elections was just a routine process of strengthening the Party. He said that during previous elections, nasty words might have been said against him and he informed the delegates that he had already forgiven those who might had wronged him during the campaign period.
“If I wronged you during the previous elections, I humbly ask for your forgiveness comrades. In the same vein, I have also forgiven those who have said nasty things about me during the elections. I am a man who doesn’t keep grudges and I urge my fellow comrades to do the same. Let love abide among us knowing that we are a family under the able leadership of President Mnangagwa,” said Cde Kazembe.
The Mashonaland Central chairperson, who now has a new moniker Kunta Kinte, called upon all Party members in the Province to be brand ambassadors of the party and market the goodness of ZANU PF in their respective areas. Kazembe said party members should be disciplined and be respectful to each other.
Cde Kazembe added that he would be the chairperson for every party member in the province and vowed to use his skills, experience and resources to make ZANU PF a party of choice in the province and the country as whole. He boldly claimed that with the team he now has, he was confident that ZANU PF would again grab all available parliamentary seats in the next plebiscite.
