MDC Alliance senior member and recalled Harare ward 37 councilor, Jason Kautsa, has destroyed property worth thousands of dollars, while protesting the termination of his love affair with one Munashe Aram of Dzivarasekwa 2.

A source with the details told this publication that Kautsa did not take lightly the termination of his affair by Aram and retaliated by hiring a mob to go to Aram’s lodgings and vandalized property.

“Kautsa was in love with Munashe; however he was abusive and always ill-treated the girl. This prompted the girl to dump Kautsa and started dating a guy called Kelvin Majamba Madeko. When Kautsa heard that Munashe was now dating Madeko, he was irked and came and assaulted Munashe in the presence of her family members,” said the source.

According to the source, Kautsa was shouting at Aram telling her that she had no right to terminate their affair as he had invested heavily in the affair.

“Kautsa was shouting at Munashe telling her that she had no right to part ways with him since he has heavily invested in the relationship. Kautsa was threatening Munashe with death and he even bragged that he was connected hence no one can arrest him,” added the source.

The source added that after beating the girl during the day, Kautsa later sent some thugs during the night at her lodgings and they forced their entry into the premise before starting to destroy property worth thousands of United States dollars.

“Kautsa later sent a drunken mob that forced its entry at Aram’s lodgings and started destroying property. They shattered the windows to the house and destroyed two vehicles that were parked outside. They were threatening to burn the house down. The drunken mob was shouting that no one messes with their boss Kautsa and go scot free,” added the source.

The matter has since been reported at Dzivarasekwa police station under RRB Number 4817763.Efforts to get a comment from Kautsa were futile as his mobile phones were not reachable.
