President Emmerson Mnangagwa has welcomed proposals by MDC T leader and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Senator Douglas Mwonzora on political dialogue, a sign of ZANU PF’s commitment towards solving the problems bedevilling the country.
Developments are that on 12 June 2021, Mwonzora met President Mnangagwa and Vice President Constantino Guveya Chiwenga at State House where he presented proposals on national dialogue, whose thrust is pro-development and peace-building through rational disputation.
“Cognisant of the challenges facing Zimbabwe, Mwonzora’s overture is a welcome development even though naysayers continue to chastise him,” a source privy to the details of the meeting revealed.
“We as the MDC T are happy that the country is moving in a very positive direction, politically,” part of the MDC T statement read.
This follows successful ZANU PF policies that have enabled for economic stability under the leadership of President Mnangagwa, developments that the MDC-Alliance and their cronies continue to vilify despite the fact that they are designed for the betterment of ordinary Zimbabweans in the long run.
The Political Actors’ Dialogue is a platform created after the 2018 election to embrace all political parties in an attempt to foster development and enable nation building through uniting diverging views. The dialogue has, however, been avoided by the defeated western-sponsored MDC-A which has continuously criticised the platform in favour of their biased initiative where they want to dictate terms.
