Chaos is reigning supreme in the Saviour Kasukuwere led #TysonwaBantu Movement as supporters clash against each other on WhatsApp groups with the more vocal ones blaming Kasukuwere for being ineffective and incompetent to lead the opposition outfit.
In one of the WhatsApp group called Mash Central Tyson waBantu, members were at each other’s throat and the majority of them expressed dissatisfaction with Kasukuwere’s leadership.
“If we are a political party, who are the leaders other than Tyson (Kasukuwere)? Where is the party’s headquarters? Do we have a constitution. Why is Kasukuwere not engaging us on this platform?,” asked one Tineyi Mangezi in one of the leaked chats?
Another member, Aleck Chiwarange said the Movement was only on WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms not in reality.
“Hapana zvemusangano apa (This is not a political party). In my area people don’t know anything about the Movement but we are gathered here lying to each other that the Movement has gained traction. The truth is that Tyson Wabantu is only an imagination not a real thing,” fumed Chiwarange.
One Jimmy Kunaka tried to bring sanity to the group by suggesting that Kasukuwere is a busy man, hence, he can’t address the supporters’ queries and concerns. However, Kunaka received a backlash as he was reminded that he was not Kasukuwere’s spokesperson.
“You are not Kasukuwere’s spokesperson. After all, if he is busy then why does he want to be in politics. He must quit politics because political games need a leader who frequently interacts with his followers,” said one Arthur Mutyambizi.
The Tyson waBantu Movement is likely to suffer a still birth as the few supporters are already losing faith in the leadership of Kasukuwere. The Movement was launched last year by Kasukuwere in South Africa but since then, it has failed to gain traction as many people still view Kasukuwere as a political thug who should not be in national politics.
