Government through the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, conducted a tourism Indaba yesterday in Bulawayo aimed at promoting and transforming the growth of the tourism industry.
On its Twitter handle, the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry said the gathering was inspired by Government’s overall drive to stimulate the growth of the tourism sector.
“This gathering draws its inspiration from Government’s overall drive to promote the growth of the Tourism sector as espoused in the Transitional Stabilisation Program,” said the Ministry.
The Ministry on its twitter handle also tweeted, that the interface with the community of Bulawayo was intended to ensure the development of tourism across all regions.
“The interface that the Ministry is having with the community of Bulawayo today, underlines the policy thrust as a Ministry, which is to ensure that the development of Tourism is nurtured and sustained in all regions where tourism has potential to thrive.
“Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry seeks to achieve equitable tourism growth and to ensure that as many people’s lives as possible are transformed through tourism. Indeed tourism should leave, no region, and no one behind,” said the Ministry.
