American television programme ABC Television Network, through its daily morning news programme, Good Morning America (GMA), is scheduled to tour the Victoria Falls from 15 to 19 February 2020, The Harare Post can report.
Information received by this publication from a reliable source indicated that the visit by ABC Television Network is being promoted by Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA) through its Security Manager, Desmond Laurence.
Speaking to this publication the source also said the purpose of the tour is to showcase the Victoria Falls as a resort area to the world in GMA new TV series called Extraordinary Planet: 20 in 20. GMA programme is anchored by ABC Television Network members, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan.
The Victoria Falls tour is part of celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Earthday to be held in April 2020, where GMA will visit twenty tourist places across the globe to promote the tourist sites to potential tourists.
ABC Television network has since indicated that it will visit Victoria Falls first because of its beauty and historic importance to the ecosystem of Zimbabwe and Southern Africa.
