LEAD Zimbabwe leader, Linda Masarira-Kaingidza has dismissed the opposition narrative that the 2018 harmonised elections were disputed, highlighting that the MDC failed to produce evidence to support their claim that it won the 2018 Presidential elections.

Responding to the self-exiled former Government Minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo’s tweet in which he claimed that only a Government of National Unity (GNU) can resolve the disputed 2018 Presidential poll, Masarira-Kaingidza accused Prof Moyo for trying to force his way back in the political matrix by pushing unrealistic agendas.

“Trying to wriggle your way back into power by pushing unrealistic agendas. There will be no GNU in Zimbabwe as there is no election dispute,” she said.

Masarira-Kaingidza accused Prof Moyo of attempting to rig the 2018 Presidential election in favour of the MDC.

“You tried to aid your new found political home with your rigging machinery and it failed, they (MDC) failed to produce sufficient evidence in court.” She added.

The sentiments by Masarira-Kaingidza follow similar statements by the MDC-T leader, Dr Thokozani Khupe who endorsed the elections as free and fair.

Dr Khupe said this while addressing journalists in Harare soon after the 2018 election, adding that the elections were the best that she had ever experienced since she started participating in elections in the year 2000.
