President Emmerson Mnangagwa urged party members to be exemplary and follow party policies and its Constitution.
He said this while addressing Central Committee members at Zanu-PF headquarters yesterday.
President Mnangagwa said he was a listening leader who was different from others. “There is a difference between a ruler and a leader,” said the President.
He said the party and the Central Committee in particular, should focus on proffering solutions on how to implement our strategies within clearly defined timeframes and targets.
“Now that we have full time secretaries for various portfolios, I expect expediency in decisions to allow smooth flow of ideas,” he added.
He urged party members to take keen interest in development of scientific thinking, inventions and innovation.
“We must shift our paradigm and facilitate platforms where modernization of every facet of the economy can thrive,” said President.
The Central Committee meeting comes at a time Government is intensifying anti-graft war.
