Coming off the heels of his electrifying performance during the local celebration of International Jazz Day on April 30, Meck made a triumphant return to the same venue on June 28, 2024, delivering a show that left attendees eagerly anticipating more.
In an exclusive interview with this publication, Meck expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event.
"Expect an evening of fireworks. Those coming to the gig will definitely get their money's worth as I plan to deliver hit after hit," Meck assured, promising a memorable experience for all who attend.
While Meck hinted at the presence of several guest artists for tomorrow's concert, he chose to keep their identities under wraps for the time being.
However, it's worth noting that his previous performance at Alliance Française featured notable artists such as Selmor Mtukudzi, Tendai Manatsa, Nokutenda, and Mono Mukundu, adding to the allure of what tomorrow might hold.
The ZIMA award-winning artist also shared his setlist for the concert, which will include fan favourites like "Changu Chipo," "Mbuya Madhuve," and "Chigevenga," ensuring a night filled with beloved melodies.
Meck's manager, Spiwe Ndlovu, confirmed that all preparations are set for a spectacular show.
"Everything is in place for a night that will be remembered for years to come," Ndlovu stated.
She encouraged the public to seize the opportunity to experience this unique performance, noting that the show will start promptly at 6:30 PM.
In addition to his local success, Meck has also made significant strides on the international music scene.
He recently collaborated with South African artists that resulted in a cross-cultural remix of his hit "Mbuya Madhuve" by South African DJs C Keys and Notehead, blending Chimurenga music with the contemporary sounds of amapiano.
As the concert approaches, jazz enthusiasts and music lovers alike are brimming with anticipation for an evening that promises to blend exquisite jazz performances with a cozy, inviting atmosphere at Alliance Française de Harare.
