Masaraure`s ploy to cause unrest unmasked

Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) leader, Obert Masaraure`s move to disturb the court proceedings and influence court decision in Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Zengeza West legislator  member, Job Sikhala`s court proceedings has been unmasked. This follows his plans to mobilize people to attend the incarcerated former legislators’ court case in a bid to incite protests.

According to the source, Masaraure was purportedly mobilizing a substantial crowd to attend Job Sikhala`s court sessions. The motive, it seems, is not just to show solidarity, but to disturb the proceedings and potentially influence the court`s decisions. Masaraure is said to have vested interests in the outcome of Sikhala`s case.

“In the eyes of the people they might assume that Masaraure is mobilizing people to show solidarity to Sikhala, but alas the former is aiming to create chaos in the event that Sikhala is found guilty. The plan involves the mobilized crowd erupting into protests, challenging the court`s verdict. The demonstrations could not only disrupt the judicial process, but also serve as a rallying cry for wider political unrest,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Masaraure took to his X handle indicating that he was confident that he would pull citizens together so secure the release of Sikhala, whom he dubbed the ‘Zimbabwean Mandela’.
