Chaos in Chamisa’s camp as former allies dumped for political novices

Turmoil appears to be brewing within the Nelson Chamisa’s camp, with sources revealing that the former leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has side-lined seasoned allies in favour of political newcomers.

This shake-up has left prominent youth leaders, such as Takudzwa Ngadziore, Womberai Nhende, and Gift Ostallous Siziba out in the cold, as Chamisa reportedly opts to work closely with Kudakwashe John and Mmeli Bruce Moyo.
According to a source within Chamisa’s inner circle, the influential youths who once spearheaded the party’s initiatives have been “effectively side-lined,” with Chamisa now placing his confidence in political newcomers.
“Chamisa seems to believe that these new faces can bring fresh energy to his cause. He has clearly chosen to rely on individuals like Kudakwashe John and Mmeli Bruce Moyo, leaving out the very people who stood by him through challenging times,” the source stated.
The two newcomers, John and Moyo, have reportedly assumed influential positions within the camp without formal endorsement.
Moyo, who serves as the councilor for Bulawayo’s Ward 22, has allegedly appointed himself as the National Youth Organizer, while John has also taken up the mantle of youth leader.
“They are telling anyone who cares to listen that Chamisa has entrusted them with the task of grassroots mobilization in anticipation of his return to the political scene,” revealed the source.
In a further sign of Chamisa’s shift in strategy, the source noted that a young activist known as Cucsman has been assigned the role of discrediting perceived enemies of Chamisa across social media platforms.
This campaign has reportedly taken aim at former allies Charlton Hwende, Caston Matewu, and Prince Dubeko Sibanda, among others.
“Cucsman’s sole objective seems to be casting these individuals in a negative light, creating an atmosphere of distrust among Chamisa’s former comrades,” the source added.
Meanwhile, these developments, if true, signal a potentially divisive period ahead for Chamisa’s camp, as the influential former allies who once had his ear now find themselves on the periphery.
Efforts to get a comment from Chamisa were futile as his mobile phones were not reachable and he didn’t respond to WhatsApp messages sent to him.
