Chegutu West legislator, Shakemore Timburwa, has reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to the needy by donating food hampers to the elderly and disabled in his community last weekend.
Speaking at the event in Chegutu West Ward 6, Timburwa articulated his philosophy of service, attributing his actions to the core values of ZANU PF.
"ZANU PF is all about love, and it is upon this foundation that I find the motivation to assist the needy in our constituency. As the MP for Chegutu West, it is my solemn duty to ensure that my constituents are well catered for, providing them with the basics they need to survive," Timburwa stated.
Timburwa emphasised his role in materialising the Party's vision of development and care for the community.
Furthermore, Timburwa highlighted his alignment with President Mnangagwa's vision for Zimbabwe, saying, "As a foot soldier of President Mnangagwa, my duty is to ensure that we bring development right to the people's doorsteps."
The impact of Timburwa's philanthropy was vividly expressed by the beneficiaries.
One elderly woman, Getrude Dzuda, expressed her gratitude: "We feel so happy and remembered in our time of need. It's not every day that you find someone who genuinely cares. Honourable Timburwa has brought light into our lives with his kind gesture."
Echoing these sentiments, Blessmore Gengezha, another beneficiary, acknowledged the tangible improvements in their community.
"Since Honourable Timburwa took over the seat, we have witnessed notable developments in Chegutu West. His assistance with these goodies is just one of the many ways he is helping our community. We are truly thankful for his dedication and hard work,” said Gengezha.
Meanwhile, Timburwa’s latest act of generosity is part of a broader spectrum of his initiatives aimed at uplifting the lives of the less fortunate in Chegutu West.
His ongoing efforts to provide support and development reflect a deep-seated commitment to the wellbeing of his constituents, embodying the values of care and service to the community.
