The Movement for Democratic Change Alliance (MDC A) which was behind the reign of terror, set out to destroy police stations, kill and maim members of the law enforcement agents.
Statistics have revealed that five police stations were targeted country wide, with one police officer being killed in Entumbane police station in Bulawayo while 30 others were injured from various police stations across the country.
In Bulawayo, Entumbani Police Station was stoned, while ZRP Makoni police station and ZRP Southlea Park were burnt together with police vehicles.
In Mashonaland East, Dombotombo Police Station and Mashonaland West’s Rimuka police station had their windows smashed while a CIO guard room in Plumtree had its windows smashed.
Meanwhile, political analysts from across the country have condemned the heinous acts by the MDC A and its affiliate organisations, the Civic Society Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations and some labour movements.
Patience Miriranguva posted on her twitter handle @miriranguva saying, “Irresponsibility is covertly asking people to do things whose results you are not willing to take responsibility for. Irresponsibility is setting out to destroy police stations and its means to access conflict areas through burning and destroying their vehicles, during the just ended demonstrations.
“The MDCA is causing untold suffering; they want the USA to inflict more pain on us. It's an open provocation to the military to use disproportionate force so that the government is demonized. They are angered by the peaceful failure by President ED Mnangagwa to remedy things in the very short term,” said Linda Masarira.
Masarira sought to indicate that the New Dispensation was doing all it can to resuscitate the economy and that its absurd to expect results within the short time it has been in Government.
“It took 38 years to run down Zimbabwe and its only foolhardy to expect our economy to bounce back overnight. No one deserves to die for other people's political egos. I urge the church to continue praying for Zimbabwe and mediating between the political parties that are fighting for power.
“We all want the government to deliver but there is no way we can wake up tomorrow and we are in bliss. It's not a secret the government faces a mammoth task to turn around the economy the work required is humongous. People are suffering. We are all suffering,” concluded Masarira.
Other political analysts argued that Nelson Chamisa should stop pretending to be the messiah because everyone is aware that he is the one who caused the terrorist attacks on the people of Zimbabwe through his Vanguard group of thugs.
