Tshabangu alleges criminals influence on Chamisa

Speaking in an interview with Zi FM Stereo yesterday, Tshabangu levelled claims that certain criminal elements have gained undue influence over the party leader, Nelson Chamisa, leading to a series of political missteps.

According to Tshabangu, these individuals are in close proximity to Chamisa and are exerting negative influence, attempting to personalise the party and thereby undermining its collective ethos.

"We are targeting the criminals around the president. They have put the party in jeopardy by misleading the president and thinking whatever they say is correct," Tshabangu asserted.

Tshabangu went on to allege that these same figures manipulated CCC’s candidate selection processes early this year, negatively impacting the integrity of results emanating from community-level decisions.

Tshabangu expressed frustration at the situation, stating, "We tried all we could, but we can’t fail to correct those things."

In a more personal revelation, Tshabangu challenged Chamisa's claims of not being familiar with him, presenting his own account of a long-standing relationship that goes back to their time within the MDC youth assembly.

"I spoke to him; I have V11s, and people will be surprised," Tshabangu disclosed.

Tshabangu expressed bewilderment at Chamisa’s public denial of their association, especially considering their history and ongoing communication.

Tshabangu also dropped hints of deeper internal conflicts, suggesting that some of the CCC's leaders were instrumental in the recent recall of 30 party officials, including members of the National Assembly, Senate, and Local Authorities. This move has undoubtedly shaken CCC’s stability and raised questions about the underlying motives.

In that same interview, Tshabangu declined to disclose the identities of the alleged instigators within the CCC leadership, citing ongoing legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, Tshabangu's allegations paint a picture of a party grappling with internal challenges and leadership questions, posing a significant test to Chamisa's leadership and the party's direction ahead of key political milestones.
